Paz lives with her two children: Kai, a furious little tyrant of three, and Matti, five years old, quiet and dethroned by Kai. While Paz searches for a job, she rents out a room in her house to tenants who come and go at the fleeting pace of Airbnb tourism. The children’s overwhelming emotions clash with the weight of financial pressure, and the days blur into one another. Paz begins to dissociate and forget about her little ones. The children fight harder and harder for their mother’s attention, and Matti, in an attempt to either stand out or vanish, discovers a talent for prolonged apnea, dangerously holding his breath for longer and longer stretches of time.
